Harrisburg Chiropractor, Dr. Randy Frederick
I first began seeing a chiropractor in college…
Up until then, I never heard of chiropractic care. At first I was a skeptic about the whole thing. Then after treating with the doctor, I felt better. As a child, I had suffered with asthma and was sick often. Most of my childhood was spent taking many different types of medication to help control the asthma. It was for this reason I wanted to do something in a health-related field, to help other people like me. Initially I was leaning towards becoming a psychologist, however in college, my best friend suggested I think about a career in chiropractic. After researching the field, and seeing a chiropractor, I became very interested. I think it was the idea of actually helping people get well and stay healthy, without the use of drugs that fascinated me. Especially knowing the amount of medicine I took during my childhood. I just wanted to help others avoid what I went through. I graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor of science degree. I then went to the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois, and received my doctor of chiropractor in 1982.
